Job Description:
As a Staff Accountant you will play a crucial role in the finance team, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our accounting processes. From accounts payable to reconciliations, you will contribute to the financial health and compliance of our clients organization.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of accounts payable processes, including vendor entry, invoice coding, and check generation
- Prepare invoices for external entities and 1099 forms as needed
- Review and analyze invoices, ensuring proper coding and seeking approval from relevant stakeholders
- Act as the main contact for Trustee Expense Reports and maintain Cashbook subledgers
- Prepare bank reconciliations, GL account analysis, and support month-end close processes
- Proactively identify issues and suggest efficiencies while adhering to accounting policies and procedures
- Assist in the development and documentation of policies and procedures related to accounting processes
- Provide support to the accounting manager on various reports and analysis projects
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Staff Accountant position
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Business Central, Microsoft Office Suite, and accounting software
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and strong numeracy and analytical skills
- Working knowledge of GAAP
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, CPA, or other related certification
